Gov. Doug Ducey said he doesn't support shutting down the U.S.-Mexico border, saying that Mexico is Arizona's 'No. 1 trading partner, times four.'
Gov. Doug Ducey said Monday that he does not support closing the U.S.-Mexico border, as President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to do in recent days.
Ducey, a Republican, said he believes"the border does need attention," but it's a"humanitarian crisis, and Congress needs to act."Trump on Saturday and again on Monday posted on Twitter that"Mexico must use its very strong immigration laws to stop the many thousands of people trying to get into the USA" or else he would shut down the border.
