To elevate your Halloween makeup look, take inspiration from Ariana Grande’s eyeliner trick.
For most of us, Halloween makeup usually means a flurry of fake blood and fangs. In other words, something that verges on the comedic, rather than the chic. Not so for Ariana Grande, whose nod to Halloween was a masterclass in makeup that has legs long after spooky season. In a set of Instagram Stories shared with her 380 million Instagram followers, Grande was seen partying with friends with a fresh update on a feline flick. True to form from the makeup lover, it was no ordinary eyeliner look.
While the line itself was classic enough–inky black and defined with a perfectly winged tip–it was the placement of it, suspended in the socket line, that made it work so well. As well as elongating her eyes with the upward flick, the placing made for an edgy, futuristic framing of Grande’s eyes which kept things looking ultra modern, rather than retro.
