Arcade1Up's Infinity Game Board is here to save you time and space when you're ready to go head-to-head in your favorite classic board games. Here's everything you should know about the console available at Walmart.
The Infinity Game Board for $500 is a console packed with over 100 board games in a convenient digital format to bring extra ease to family game nights. As a fan myself, I often want to add another captivating game to my board game bookcase.
However, I’ve had to become pickier with my selections as it really does fill upThankfully, Arcade1Up released a console in 2025 to help you consolidate your board games into one piece of handy tech, helping you save space without cramping game night:comes packed with 50 free board games and over 50 to purchase, bringing the total to over 100 games to play. This way, any new games or classic titles you’ve been meaning to add to your collection can finally join the pack in a digital format. Its legs and smaller frame than those found on the Infinity Game Table make it more portable and able to fit on any coffee, dining or board game table. The IGB features an 18.5-inch 1080p HD touchscreen, compared to the 32-inch screen of the Infinity Game Table, for a more compact size that’s closer to the experience of a traditional board game.with panning and zoom for a better view in each game. It also features haptic feedback for further immersion into the game.in the best way I know how: making almost every friend and family member who visited me sit down to play a game. Every person who came to my apartment sat around the coffee table for a game . Each session included up to three players, depending on the game.I even agreed to play my least favorite game, “Yahtzee,” and tried out Arcade1Up’s spins on the oldies, like “Mini Fini Foosball” and “Fling Hockey,” which were very fun.“Mahjong Deluxe” was so challenging that I got tripped up with the tiles every time, but I really got into the zone with “Sudoku Ultimate.” I also played many of the previously mentioned games against the board itself, especially “Ticket to Ride,” which is one of my favorite games of all time. While playing, I kept an eye on everything from graphics and gameplay mechanics to audio and storage features. I also took note of how the console ran after many hours of playtime. You’ll get around 50 games for free just by heading to the Games Store and downloading them directly to the console. This way, the entire family can join in on the fun. And all the games, from the simple to the more complex, download in under one minute, so you can hit “Start” ASAP.Many of the titles are classics that satisfy that nostalgic itch. However, there are many hits released in the past 10 years available to purchase, like “Ticket to Ride,” “Pandemic,” “Blank Slate,” “Hues and Cues,” “Tapple” and “Cut the Rope,” that are worth the spend. You can start by playing the most popular IGB games that owners tend to play the most: “Monopoly” and “Scrabble” along with casual games, like “Checkers,” “Mahjong,” “Sudoku Ultimate” and “Chess.”have enough storage to add more. According to Arcade1Up CTO Davin Sufer, who leads the Infinity Game Line product development team, that storage system will also work for you by deleting files and making space from games you haven’t played for some time, so that you can always have ample storage for new downloads. However, if you ever end up needing to expand, the board comes with an integrated USB port to save additional games on a flash drive or external hard drive. The company plans to support the games for several years to come, especially your purchased titles, and add new ones regularly to add more variety and popular games into the fold. “We’d like all of our games to be supported for years and years,” Sufer explains. “We’re always doing updates and bug fixes, and it’s important to us that all new games are backward compatible for the new hardware we make, so we’re really working hard on those fronts.”Although I’m still a sucker for traditional board games, the Infinity Game Board saves you time when you want to play a quick game or jump between multiple titles in a single night. That means no more hours-long Monopoly battles that will never end — unless you live for them. The digital elements include all the pieces you need, too. This prevents you from experiencing the disappointment of opening your favorite board game box to find that a die or critical piece is missing. The graphics are interactive, vibrant and playful, from the smiling faces on the chips in “Connect 4″ to the colorful buildings emerging across the city streets of “Monopoly.” Newer games, like “Ticket to Ride” and “Pandemic,” feature more complex graphics and animations that bring the adventures from their boards to life. The sound effects add another layer of immersion. In “Ticket to Ride,” for example, it will sound like you’re on a train pulling into each station, while in “Battleship,” you can hear the explosions and “You sunk my battleship!” after each successful hit.For “Operation” fans, the most important element of the game is not forgotten in the IGB. With haptic feedback, you can ensure your opponents know they’ve hit the walls of Cavity Sam’s organs with a loud buzz and vibration of the board. Many of the games can save house rules, so your friends and family can customize gameplay to continue playing the way they know and love. Those house rules become codified, so there’s — hopefully — no cheating or arguing. The games that require you to hide your cards from your opponents, like “Clue” and “Guess Who,” are difficult to play when those cards are displayed on screen and can easily become visible to all players. To help mitigate the issue, there are graphics that cover up the cards in-game, and you can uncover the cards by tapping a button. The console also comes with four cardboard shields, but you’ll have to position them correctly on the screen and share them in games with more than four players. As Sufer explains, they were the best solution when the entire brand message was that you don’t have to have extra pieces when the game is digital, and the team wanted to stay true to that message. For the next IGB version, Sufer says, “Maybe we’ll even find a way of integrating the card blockers on the display somehow so you don’t have to keep anything handy.”Without the possibility to play sans electricity, it’s not a form of entertainment that you can use during a power outage to stay busy. This is unlike a traditional board game and cards, where you can just open up the physical board for hours of enjoyment. The brainteasers that require more strategic thinking and time, like “Mahjong” and “Sudoku Ultimate” — one of my favorites — feature a single, catchy song on loop. However, they could benefit from multiple songs on rotation to keep you in the zone and more entertained. This may not happen to all of the consoles, but an issue to look out for is potential overheating that causes lag. I experienced this with my Infinity Game Board provided for review from Arcade1Up, but customer service worked quickly to remedy the issue by sending me a new unit that did not overheat and ran more smoothly. Even then, switching to the new console was a breeze by simply logging into my Infinity Game Board account and re-downloading the games. The ones you’ve purchased will also download to the new unit quickly without having to re-purchase them.Board game store is updated regularly and includes over 100 gamesDigitized pieces prevent you from losing them and it saves house rulesRequires electricity to playcomes in handy for many types of board game fans, but especially for apartment dwellers, like me, who lack the space for the board game collection of their dreams. While you can still feed your IRL collecting itch, with this device, you can purchase the digital version of a board game available on the IGB if the physical board would take up too much space in real life.is also a great option for families hoping to keep kids busy for extended periods of time without them being glued to the TV screen or tablet. It’s a different type of screen time that involves more strategy, learning and connection with family members and friends. This time you won’t lose or break any pieces, as well, in the hands of a rambunctious child — with adult supervision, of course. And kids as young as 3 years old can enjoy the console with games, like “Candyland” and “Chutes and Ladders,” to keep them entertained and introduce them to the fun.It also maintains the spirit of traditional board games and the nostalgia while adding new games to the library for you to try every few months. “We have partnerships with Asmodee, Hasbro, with lots of the bigger players so we’re always after all their favorite titles so you can kind of imagine which ones we’re trying to get or prepare ,” Sufer explained.faithfully achieves Arcade1Up’s goal, despite its drawbacks: “delivering a digital version of these games where you wouldn’t have to keep track of all the pieces, you wouldn’t have to manage rules, and you have every board game,” Sufer said. “That was the real vision — to open up a world of board games in a platform that was really part of your home."Ninja’s BlendBOSS tumbler blender finally put an end to my Smoothie King habitIs DREO’s new space heater really a game changer?
