Mark Gurman for Bloomberg has reported that there will be a future version of the Apple Store app that will offer an augmented reality feature.
Customers would be able to use the app and point at an Apple product in-store to find out more information about it. The augmented-reality capabilities would activate when a user enters one of its retail locations.
Gurman also explained that Apple has been working on the feature since at least 2020, and has been testing it at stores in recent months. However, it’s unclear when the new app feature will be made available to the public.
