This is according to the latest information by reliable tipster Mark Gurman, who revealed that the tech giant has been working on this feature since at least 2020. Writing in his Power On newsletter on Bloomberg, Gurman revealed that it is unclear when this feature will be released by Apple, though the company does plan to release an API for developers so that it can be used at other retail stores too.
He further elaborated that if the feature was to debut in the near future, it would be one of Apple’s most significant AR-related launches yet. Moreover, it would be a taste of what’s to come with the company’s upcoming AR/VR headset. Of course, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet.
