An injury to Rasmus Hojlund may give Anthony Martial one final chance to rescue his Man United career.
Given the ridiculous number of injuries that have befallen Manchester United this season, it's bordering on miraculous that Anthony Martial has somehow not yet suffered one.
Three players haven't even kicked a ball this season and Ten Hag has not once been able to name a consistent and settled side due to someone new getting injured with every passing week. It's impossible to maintain stability on such uneven flooring. So to lose them both at the same time is incredibly unfortunate. Hopefully, it will transpire to be nothing too serious and with an international break to heal up in it could work out but that doesn't seem to be how the cards are falling for United at present.
While everyone else has fallen around him, the brittle Martial has somehow managed to stay standing. A lack of minutes might have helped that given his limited play time but it's still an accomplishment. The Frenchman has had no less than 21 different injuries since joining United, so any period of prolonged availability should be celebrated.
