The Green Bay Packers are reportedly going to interview Eagles DBs coach Christian Parker for their DC job.
The Eagles will interview former Giants head coach Brian Daboll as they continue their offensive coordinator search after removing Kevin Patullo from the position. This is the second team that will interview Parker for a DC job.
Parker is also reportedly scheduled to interview with the Dallas Cowboys this week.So it seems increasingly likely that the Eagles will lose their talented 34-year-old defensive backs coach and defensive passing game coordinator. The Packers’ defensive coordinator position officially became available on Monday when the Dolphins hired Jeff Hafley as their new head coach. The Packers actually interviewed Parker for the same position in 2024 before hiring Hafley. Since then, Parker’s resume has become even more impressive. In his two years with the Eagles, Parker has helped turn Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean into Pro Bowlers and All-Pros as the Eagles have had one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. "Yeah, man, I could say a lot of things about him,” DeJean said at locker cleanout day Monday. “What he's meant to me and Q, too. We've had a routine of me and Q go meet with him. two or three times a week just to go over the team we're playing, talk about different looks. And I don't think I'd be the player I am or I'd have the success that I've had without him. “He's poured a lot into me and Q too, ever since we got here. And I appreciate him for that. And not everybody notices him and he doesn't get the recognition that I think he should. Him and coach Kasper, what those guys mean to us in the DB room and how they coach, the intensity they bring, the passion they have for the game. It means a lot to us and doesn't go unnoticed."Report: Former Bucs offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard to interview with Eagles The Eagles drafted Mitchell and DeJean in the first two rounds in 2024. Parker got them playing well as rookie starters and helped get their games to even higher levels in 2025, when they were both named first-team All-Pros. Mitchell and DeJean became just the second cornerback duo ever to be named to the All-Pro team in the same year. The Eagles hadn’t had one All-Pro corner since Lito Sheppard in 2004. Under Parker, the Eagles had the No. 8-ranked pass defense in the league in 2025 after being No. 1 in 2024. Parker joined the Eagles’ coaching staff under Vic Fangio in 2024. Before then, Parker spent three seasons with the Broncos, coaching former Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II. Parker broke into the NFL with the Packers from 2019-2020 under Matt LaFleur, who could become his boss again. Losing Parker would be a big blow to the Eagles’ defensive staff. Not only has he been an excellent position coach, but Parker would have been an ideal replacement for whenever Fangio decides to walk away.
