PETALING JAYA: A lorry driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a police roadblock, injuring five policemen, including an inspector.
"At around 12.45am on Friday , an accident occured along Jalan Syed Putra where a lorry crashed into a police team.
"Investigations showed that driver lost control while driving the lorry on the left lane of the road. It then crashed into a police car and motorcycle. "The policemen stationed there were also hit by the lorry as they were closing down the roadblock," said Kuala Lumpur Traffic and Investigation Department head Asst Comm Zulkefly Yahya.
An inspector, two corporals, one lance corporal and a constable were injured, with the constable being treated for head, shoulder and leg injuries.The case is being investigated for reckless driving. On Thursday , a Grab driver in Penang crashed into a police roadblock because he was distracted by his app enroute to picking up a passenger at the airport.
