McDonald's is adding two new chicken sandwiches.
The Chicken McGriddles sandwich houses a McChicken between two griddle cakes, while the other option has a warm biscuit with the chicken. McDonald's is also testing a new crispy chicken sandwich in Houston and Knoxville, Tennessee.
McDonald's breakfast move could be seen as the latest offensive targeting competitor Chick-fil-A, which also offers breakfast chicken sandwiches. This past summer,, which challenged Chick-fil-A's supremacy and led to Wendy's throwing some shade on Chick-fil-A, too. The fast-food chain did not elaborate on how long the limited-time offering would last, but said demand could lead to some local markets bringing them back in the future."This gives our restaurants flexibility with offering new menu items based on market trends while still maintaining a menu of fan favorites for their customers," VanGosen said.
