Brand New Day star Tom Holland with Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker together in Spider-Man No Way Home

Andrew Garfield is never escaping Marvel Cinematic Universe conspiracy theories, as the star addresses the latest one. During a new interview with Capital FM, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer was brought up, with one shot particularly having made the rounds online, as rumors are floating around that characters have been edited out from a shot where Peter Parker is in mid-battle against characters who are believed to be the Hand.

Given how this happened with Tobey Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men for the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailers back in 2021, the British actor reacted with, "This feels like a reach to be honest. Like what do you mean there's like room for other characters? There's literally just space underneath Spider-Man." He continued by adding, "Yeah, but they're all heading to Spider-Man. Well, there's room for more characters in every frame of the film, probably! " Garfield jokingly stated that it is"absolutely ludicrous, conspiracy theory level attempts at like investigative journalism. You've lost your damn minds," in response to the rumors and theories that the marketing is trying to hide him as being part of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast. The Marvel veteran ended his response with teasing how"you notice I didn't say that I wasn't in it though, right? Or am I a traitor?" Garfield also shared in a separate interview with Heart that "I think it's a question that's probably going to follow me for the rest of my life, 'Are you secretly in the new Spider-Man film?' Until I'm 90 years old, they're going to be asking me, 'Are you in the new Spider-Man Volume 512? I'll be like, 'I’m literally weeing into a colostomy bag, and I don't have any...' But also people can ask me whatever they want; my life is very blessed." Does Spider-Man: Brand New Day Have Other Secret Characters? While Garfield's Peter Parker is more than likely not going to be part of the Phase 6 installment at all, the idea that the shot seen in the trailer has used CGI to remove other players isn't a far-fetched one. The Spider-Man: Brand New Day story has been heavily kept under wraps by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, leaving the door wide open for unannounced characters to make their way into the new film. Even though Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner has been revealed through the first trailer, audience members have yet to see Hulk through the Spider-Man: Brand New Day marketing, as the iconic Avenger could easily be someone who was visually removed from the mentioned shot in the footage. Having Hulk fight alongside the web-crawler is easily a moment that the studios would want viewers to experience without being spoiled. Despite his separate denial of being part of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Charlie Cox's Daredevil is another highly possible candidate who could have been visually removed from the first trailer in order to surprise the world when the film arrives this summer. Given that the trailer seemingly confirmed that the Phase 6 entry will be taking place after Daredevil: Born Again season 2, that makes it easier for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen to appear in this film as a big secret.
