ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - In two weeks, the Anchorage School District plans to announce a list of schools it recommends closing, repurposing or adjusting boundaries. The district said in an email late Friday afternoon that it has been working on the idea of rightsizing since April. It said it has used feedback from community surveys. According to the district, a “sense of urgency to improve levels of academic service for all students” is driving the decision to move forward with these plans.
That list will be revealed on Nov. 1, and the decision-making process will be discussed at the school board work session on Nov. 4, according to ASD
