According to APD, police responded to Circle K on Tudor Road just before 7 a.m., where they arrested and charged David Panik with assault. Police said Panik initially fled from the gas station but later returned to the business and turned himself in. He was taken to the Anchorage Correction Complex.Police were still at the scene around 8:15 a.m. One officer could be seen swabbing the pavement next to yellow crime scene markers.
