A new poll also finds that Texas is seen favorably by 59 percent of Americans, and 55 percent think the state is headed in the right direction.

Over the past year, Graham added, the state's national image has improved significantly. This year, Texas is seen favorably by 59 percent of Americans,, and 55 percent think the state is headed in the right direction. Also, 44 percent of respondents to the 2023 survey consider Texas to be more culturally diverse than other states, up from 32 percent in last year's survey.
