“She's experiencing menopausal rage. And also, Jonathan Tropper continues to write me a lot of sex scenes.”Like her character, Peet has been thinking about ways she wants to reinvent herself. “One way that I really want to change myself is I want to become a better cook,” she revealed. “I feel like that has dropped by the wayside.”Of course, Peet isn’t planning on reinventing herself the way Mel has, nor like her on-screen husband Coop, played by Jon Hamm. But if she had to take a page out of Coop’s book and steal something from one of her neighbors? “I really like my next-door neighbor’s dogs. They’re adorable,” she joked.In season one, Mel showed off her wild side in various ways, from having an affair and leaving her husband to getting into a fist fight in a coffee shop to committing petty theft. If her character arc is only getting crazier from here, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the suburban mom.
