Plans for Project Horizon were approved in February 2023 but very little details has been released
Alton Towers bosses have dropped a big hint on what ride might be built as part of their secret Project Horizon plans. The application for a new indoor attraction was approved earlier this year but, as you would expect, little detail has been released about the ride.
Creative lead for Merlin John Burton was asked in a recent video when we will see a Rocky Mountain Construction design at Alton Towers. At this point, he says: "Can we cut the camera? We can't talk about anything potentially on the horizon."He then smiles at the camera and raises a cup with the RMC logo on it.
Of course, the tease doesn't add any information about what the ride might actually look like, but RMC is one of the biggest names in coaster construction, having revolutionised what a modern ride is capable of achieving.
