As residents of Westbury reel from the recent spate of deadly gang shootings in Joburg, a group of mothers in Cape Town could finally see justice as four men accused of three gang murders in Hanover Park, Cape Town, are set to go on trial later this year.
Mohammed Yaseen Claasen, Chadwin Charles, Bashier Gamba and Kyle du Toit face charges of murdering Ashtivon Gaffley, Charlton Vitron and Duwayne Tyman.The four appeared in the Western Cape High Court on Friday to iron out the last preparations for their trial, set down from 9 October to 9 November.
News24 has covered many of these shootings, and in the case of Gaffley, it was reported he was on his way to a tuckshop on 11 June 2019 when he was shot in the chest.READ | On 6 November 2019, Vitron was shot in the chest.
