The Japanese airline that mistakenly sold flight tickets for a fraction of their normal cost due to a technical glitch has announced it will not honour the sales. 9News
Yip, 32, was able to purchase a total of 25 tickets from ANA to holiday hotspots all over the globe, including some round-trip first and business class flights, which he said he nabbed for as little as $445."For the flights which were erroneously processed... we will cancel and fully refund all itineraries," the airline said."ANA will notify each customer affected by the error.
ANA said last Wednesday that airfares were "listed incorrectly on its Vietnam website" due to an "erroneous currency conversion".The error was live on the site for more than 12 hours, Yip said, enabling numerous others to also get in on the action. In 2019, Cathay Pacific Airways experienced a similar mishap, selling seats in premium cabins for hundreds of dollars instead of thousands, but the Hong Kong carrier honoured the tickets.Continue reading
