Some expressed concern about the implications of this decision, while others understood that viewing habits are changing.
Rural GCI TV customers, like Nome resident Simon Kinneen, said the transition should be manageable. Kinneen said he already prefers streaming.network came in, and we’ve got the fiber internet,” Kinneen said. “It’s working fine, so long as we don’t have ... the cuts in the internet, which has happened a couple of times.”On Tuesday, some Anchorage residents also said they prefer streaming over traditional TV subscriptions because it is cheaper and more efficient.
