The Crimson Tide landed a major commitment on Wednesday.

The 247Sports composite ranks lists him as a five-star prospect. “I would like to thank God, my family and everyone that supported me on this journey,” Samuels wrote in a post announcing his decision. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Samuels is ranked as the No. 22 overall recruit in the class, and the No. 8 small forward by the 247Sports composite. He plays his high school basketball at Bishop McNamara in Maryland. Samuels chose Alabama over offers from Georgetown, UConn, Villanova and Kansas among others. He became the Crimson Tide’s second commitment in the 2026 class. The forward was the 10th highest scorer on the most recent season of the Nike EYBL circuit, playing for Team Takeover. He averaged 20 points per game there.
