Injuries are plaguing the Bowling Green Falcons' quarterback room ahead of tonight's game against the Akron Zips. As a result, my Akron vs. Bowling Green predictions are backing the Zips to stay competitive while covering the spread.
The Zips are coming off their most explosive offensive performance of the season, where Ben Finley threw for 424 yards and three touchdowns in an OT home loss to Kent State. Akron wideout Marcel Williams’ 206-yard eruption against Kent State gives the Zips a matchup advantage on the outside against a Falcons’ secondary allowing 7.83 yards per pass attempt and struggling to defend downfield throws.
