. Air Canada, Air France-KLM, easyJet, International Airlines Group, LATAM Airlines Group, Lufthansa Group, and Virgin Atlantic — have all signed Letters of Intent “to explore opportunities for a future supply of carbon removal credits from direct air carbon capture technology.”

DACCS is far from proven for such a tall task, but this is the option that airlines and Airbus have settled on as their preferred solution for net zero emissions — or at least one of their preferred solutions. Airbus notes that DACCS complements the development and use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel .
