A proposed affordable housing project for Reynoldsburg faced much opposition this week as existing neighbors said they don't want the traffic or the crime.
"Crime will go up," another resident said during public comment at this week's city council meeting. "We don't have enough police as it is. We don't have enough school bus drivers." "I just never in my life have ever, ever witnessed, nor the elders in my family, a time in America when we were not allowed to defend ourselves," Jodi Hittle said to council.
While the crowd applauded Hittle as she left the podium, Reynoldsburg Mayor Joe Begeny told ABC 6 On Your Side Problem Solvers that he has sent the two city social workers to Reynoldsburg Estates to discuss financial aid resources with tenants there.
