In a press release, LiveNation announced a limited quantity of tickets for the two sold-out Foo Fighters concerts at BMO Stadium on Friday, Aug. 9, with support from The Hives and Amyl and the Sniffers and on Sunday, Aug. 11, with The Pretenders and Alex G., which takes its name from the chorus of “Nothing at All” from the group’s 11th album “But Here We Are,” are available now at
“He is, indeed, the hometown hero of this show,” frontman David Grohl said to the festival crowd in 2023. “It’s a trip. I came down here with him every once in a while and hung out in the house he grew up in. I never really understood Taylor Hawkins until I came to Laguna. Then I was like ‘Oh, yeah, OK, I get it.’ We had good times down here, so I knew tonight would be kind of heavy because we are here where Taylor grew up, but I want this next song to be a celebration of his life.
“But Here We Are” is the first album following the death of Hawkins and features Josh Freese on drums.
