Foo Fighters were forced to cut their show at New York's Citi Field short due to 'dangerous weather.'
were forced to end their concert in Queens, New York early last night. The rock band was performing at Citi Field when a thunderstorm hit the Tri-State area. The venue confirmed that the show had “concluded” on social media, citing “the presence of lightning in the area.”
The band later posted a statement of their own, writing, “We are so disappointed that we were unable to play our full set for tonight’s fantastic crowd at Citi Field. But the safety of our fans, the crew and everyone working in the stadium comes first, so when it was determined that there was no safe way to continue the show in this dangerous weather, we had no choice but to call it a night.”
They added, “We’re grateful for every second we were able to play for you and looking forward to seeing you again – maybe as soon as Friday!”The band, who are scheduled to play Citi Field again on Friday night, made it through 13 songs of their usually 20-plus-song setlist. The concert was cut off as they began performing “Everlong,” as seen in video clips posted to social media.tonight until a crazy storm came passing through, having to cut the show short.

During her third night at Wembley Stadium, Swift seemed to indirectly address the rock legend’s comments, noting: “Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band who’s gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, they deserve this so much. And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously; we will never forget it.
