ESPN's Adam Schefter implied a big move could be coming to shake-up the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff.

It’s not a fun time to be a Philadelphia Eagles fan. The team was ousted from the playoffs after a 23-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers — a game some believe Philadelphia should’ve won — and in the aftermath of that defeat, offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was fired.

In the weeks since, the Eagles have been scouring the market for Patullo’s replacement, but they’ve been turned down by several high-profile candidates. Former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll, who’s now the offensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans, former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who’s now the OC of the Los Angeles Chargers, former Giants interim head coach and OC Mike Kafka, who’s now a Detroit Lions assistant, and Chicago Bears OC Declan Doyle are just a few of the candidates who’ve turned Philadelphia down. More News: Jets Fire Nearly Half of Their Coaching Staff in Massive Shake-Up The Eagles seem to be making some headway on finding a new offensive coordinator, and during an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic on Wednesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter implied there could be more coaching moves coming down the pipe. “We’ll talk to you next week — maybe reacting to an OC hire in Philadelphia,” host Andrew Salciunas said. “And maybe it’ll be even more than that by next week,” Schefter replied. “More than that? What are you hinting at?” host John Kincade asked. “Maybe it’ll be even more than a discussion than an offensive coordinator, we’ll see,” Schefter continued. “Let’s see what happens here.” More News: Major Update Emerges on Ex-Bills Coach Sean McDermott’s NFL Future Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio of the Philadelphia Eagles looks on against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lincoln Financial Field on December 15, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. More News: Pete Golding, Ole Miss Under Investigation After Dabo Swinney Accusations Schefter was a bit cryptic with his remarks, and many on social media took his words to mean defensive coordinator Vic Fangio would be retiring. The 67-year-old Fangio has been the Eagles DC for the last two seasons, and he’s been coaching in the NFL for 38 years.
