The PIC is accused of using disciplinary processes to intimidate and punish employees appearing at the inquiry into the state-owned asset manager
The Public Investment Corporation has confirmed that acting CEO Matshepo More has been suspended, four months after being appointed, following allegations that she interfered with the commission of inquiry into the state-owned asset manager.
The PIC is accused of using disciplinary processes to intimidate and punish employees appearing at the commission. This would suggest the disciplinary processes under way at the PIC appear to be deeply conflicted, as whistle-blowers — in many cases lower-ranking employees implicating senior executives — are the same ones being subjected to disciplinary processes at the request of senior executives.
