John Rankin says he had offers rejected by players he wanted to bring in ahead of midnight tonight
Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin doesn’t expect to make any deadline-beating signings tonight, but says the club are working hard to bring in reinforcements.
Rankin says there is no truth in rumours linking the club with a move for midfielder Ali Crawford, who has been told he can leave St Johnstone.Rankin told Lanarkshire Live Sport : “I’m not as hopeful of getting somebody in, the deadline is going to come too early. More sports news from across Lanarkshire He said: “I’m delighted we’ve got to the bottom of it and glad the kid has clarity on what he needs to do to get back fit.“The main thing is he knows how hard it’s going to be, now to get back and he’s ready to undertake the hard work, so we’re looking forward to it.
Rankin added: “Jamie has great potential but he came into an unfortunate injury, but hopefully we can address that and get him back playing.
