Connor Smith has signed a short-term loan deal at National League club Scunthorpe United, ending Hamilton Accies' hopes of landing him in this transfer window.
The 21-year-old has joined the Irons until January 2024, but could end his five-year association with Hearts thereafter if it suits all parties. Smith enjoyed a successful loan spell at Hamilton Accies last season but couldn't keep them in the Championship as they lost on penalties to Airdrie in the play-off final.
