The Pathfinders were explorers who traveled into the Outer Rim, usually accompanied by Jedi. The Judicial Forces, meanwhile, were the closest thing the Republic had to an army; peacekeepers who worked alongside the Jedi. This could hint that The Acolyte may feature these factions of the High Republic's officers. Given that the show centers on the emergence of dark powers on the edges of the Republic, this would certainly make sense. With The Acolyte's trailer showcasing a conflict brewing, the Jedi will need help from the High Republic's officers, one who could prove to be Abigal Thorn's Ensign Eurus. Thorn began her career as a British YouTuber, best known for producing the Philosophy Tube YouTube channel. She established this to provide free philosophy lessons back in 2013 when increases in university tuition fees led to a decline in applications for the subject. In 2021, Abigal Thorn came out as trans before picking up several acting credits. One of these credits was the BBC coming-of-age drama Ladhood, while another was a 2023 show named Django, a remake of the Western film of the same name. Thorn also wrote and starred in a play named The Prince. While her acting credits are not overly extensive, Thorn's appearance in The Acolyte is one that causes a lot of excitement, for both what it means to the High Republic setting of the show and the chance to see a talented individual gain more time in the spotlight.
