David Petkiewicz, cleveland.comCLEVELAND, Ohio –
Cuyahoga County made up nearly 3 of every 4 customers in the state without power, the Akron utility reported. It has said some residents might not see lights in their homes until Wednesday or later. The numbers of those regaining their service began to increase quickly on Friday. By Saturday morning, Cuyahoga County had about 78,000 customers without power, according to FirstEnergy.
Other communities saw the numbers drop quickly. Geauga County had 8,833 customers without electricity before noon Saturday. A day later, it had 4,452, or 11% of FirstEnergy’s customers in the county.
