The current owners, Marika Broere and Tony Hillebrandt, purchased the Eppstein House in 2016 and snapped up the Pratt House next door when it became available a few years later. The couple then embarked on a five-year restoration, making sure to keep the original footprints intact while bringing both dwellings into the 21st century.
Each of the homes measures around 2,200 square feet and features Wright’s signature built-in furnishings, mahogany paneling, and red concrete flooring. Of course, there’s now the benefit of updated appliances, as well as new plumbing and electricity. Leigh Ann Cobb Photography Pratt House was built in 1951, and here you’ll find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a library/music room, and an entertainment area spread across a single open floor plan. Adjoining the residence is a separate and sizable workshop that, according to marketing material, initially served as a pottery studio.
Separated by pastureland sits the circa 1953 Eppstein House. The three-bedroom home is fronted by a soaring 10-foot floor-to-ceiling glass façade, and there are three outdoor terraces that overlook the surrounding trees and meadows. The abode contains two living spaces, complete with fireplaces and period-appropriate artwork and books.
