The star wide receiver is dealing with a hamstring injury that will take him out for a second straight week after sitting outthat he expected to miss “a couple of weeks” with the injury, but that it shouldn’t impact him long-term.“Obviously, A.J. being down, he’s one of the best players in the NFL , so you’re going to miss him,” Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said earlier this week.
The Eagles, who are 1-1 heading into Sunday’s action, will take on the Buccaneers in Week 4 before their bye week, potentially giving Brown two more full weeks to recover while only missing one additional game. The Mississippi product has emerged as one of the top pass catchers in the NFL since being traded from the Titans to the Eagles before the 2022 season.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Brown, 27, has 199 receptions and 19 touchdowns through his first three seasons in Philadelphia. Brown had a monster game during the Eagles’ season-opening win over the Packers in Brazil, catching five balls for 119 yards and a touchdown.
