Sebastian Stan's A Different Man and two more A24 movies will officially be arriving on Max in January 2025.
‘s A Different Man and the documentary Look Into My Eyes received Certified Fresh scores on Rotten Tomatoes, where both earned respective Tomatometer ratings of 92% and 90%. Meanwhile, horror movie The Front Room garnered more mixed reviews from critics.A Different will start streaming on Max starting on January 17, 2025. It will then be followed by its linear premiere on HBO on January 18. The cast was led by Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve, and Adam Pearson.
“Aspiring actor Edward undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance,” reads the official synopsis. “But his new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare, as he loses out on the role he was born to play and becomes obsessed with reclaiming what was lost.” As for The Front Room, it will be available for streaming on January 3, 2025, followed by its broadcast debut on HBO on January 4. The film stars Brandy Norwood, Andrew Burnap, Neal Huff, and Kathryn Hunter. It was written and directed by Max Eggers and Sam Eggers, based on the short story by Susan Hill.
“Everything goes to hell for newly-pregnant Belinda after her mother-in-law moves in,” reads the film’s synopsis. “As the diabolical guest tries to get her claws on the child, Belinda must draw the line somewhere…” Lastly, Look Into My Eyes is scheduled to debut on Max on January 10, 2025, followed by its HBO premiere on January 11.
