The night he would have played there, he surprised fans at a Pasadena bar instead. His band, A.B. Quintanilla Y Los Kumbia All Starz , was slated to take the stage Sunday at the three-day Memorial Weekend Bash in Victoria .
The recent cancellation didn't stop Quintanilla, who promptly made other plans, despite questioning the festival's decision on social media. On Sunday, Winters Bar in Pasadena announced that a special guest would be making an appearance that night. The big reveal came when Quintanilla opened the door of his tour bus, telling viewers that was passing through the area. In a video of the performance posted by Winters Bar, fans sang along as A.B.
