Phyllis B. Thompson, 84, of Fayette died at a local hospital following the Sunday wreck that also injured another driver.
An 84-year-old woman died four days after she was involved in a multi-vehicle wreck Sunday in Fayette County, authorities said.
Phyllis B. Thompson, 84, of Fayette, was driving a 2009 Ford Focus around 5:15 p.m. Sunday on Alabama State Route 96 when her car struck a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.Thompson was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi for treatment.The driver of the Bonneville was injured and taken to Fayette Medical Center.
