On the same day, Nvidia said it would supply 260,000 GPUs to Korea by 2030 and, joining hands with Samsung, Hyundai Motor, and SK, move to build AI factories. It was effectively a preview of an ‘AI alliance’ with Korea. Jensen Huang, Nvidia chief executive officer , explained the background for cooperation, saying, “Korea is a rare country that possesses manufacturing, software, and AI technology all together.” The video released this time is also composed to emphasize the technological advances and capacity for innovation Korea has achieved since industrialization. Korean narration is accompanied by English subtitles. The 3-minute, 16-second video titled ‘Korea's Next Industrial Revolution’ opens with the narration, “The Republic of Korea, the nation that achieved the Miracle on the Han River. Through your determination and sacrifice, you went beyond simple reconstruction to accomplish the fastest industrialization in history.” It then shows the development of Korean manufacturingsteel, semiconductors, electronics, shipbuilding, automobilesintroducing how it “made the name of Korea known in households around the world.” The video explains, along with the line “A single spark ignited,” that “a new arena called PC-bang was born, and Nvidia GeForce became the gear for new players.” It is a message of thanks for the esports culture of Korea. It then turns to Hallyu content such as K-pop, K-drama, and K-beauty, saying, “With a new kind of AI factory powered by Nvidia GPUs, the AI revolution has arrived in Korea.” It adds, “Following semiconductors, Korea is now building AI infrastructure,” and, “From Samsung, Hyundai, SK, Naver, to LG, they are creating a new future with digital twins, smart robots, and smart factories.” The video closes with the message, “It is an honor to be able to be with you. Right here in Korea, where the miracle continues.” The video also uses photos and footage capturing scenes of Korea's industrialization, including the Goesan Dam completed in 1957, the CheilJedang sugar factory, the GoldStar factory established by LG founder Koo In-Hwoi, the workers of Sun Kyung Textiles, the predecessor of SK, and the Hyundai Motor Ulsan plant when it was mass-producing its first in-house model, the ‘Pony’, in 1976.
