I will be at home or in office.In a self-made video posted on social media, he expressed his pain and said, I have never faced such a painful situation in my life. My heart is aching, I am in deep pain.People come to see me in this campaign, the only reason behind it is love and affection. In my life, I have never experienced such pain. I will soon meet the victims, he added.The stampede occurred at Vijays rally last week. He said peoples safety has been a top priority for him.Apart from all things, peoples safety was the top priority I had always in my heart. Living aside all the political reasons, we always request permission for better, safe place to the police, considering the peoples safety, but things which shouldnt have happened have happened, he said.NDA-BJP delegation in KarurAn eight-member NDA-BJP delegation reached Karur today and met those undergoing treatment in the hospital as part of its fact-finding mission into Saturday’s incident. Congress general secretary and MP KC Venugopal also visited the site and received a briefing on the situation.On Monday, TVK filed a writ petition in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court, pleading for the transfer of the probe into the stampede from the State police to the Central Bureau of Investigation.In the writ petition, the TVK alleged that Saturdays incident was solely motivated by the DMK and its functionaries.A petition has been filed before the High Court of Madras, Madurai Bench, seeking a transfer of the case from the Town Police Station of Karur to the Central Investigation Team for a probe into the entire occurrence, Arivazhagan, the advocate for TVK, told reporters here.
