Its entire maritime lifeline, Karachi Port, Gwadar Port, and oil import supply lines, passes through here. In such a situation, the mere presence of an aircraft carrier like INS Vikrant puts Pakistans navy in a defensive position.If the Indian Navy enters into a conflict between the two countries, Vikrants air wing can target Pakistans coastal bases from 300-400 kilometers away.
