THE Public Attorney's Office (PAO) will file criminal charges against six suspects in the hazing death of an Adamson University student as it reported another fatality from Cebu.
PAO chief Persida Rueda-Acosta, in a press conference at the central office in Quezon City, said the charges would be filed before the City Prosecutor's Office against Earl Anthony Romero, 21; Tung Cheng Cheng, 22; Jerome Balot, 22; Sandro Victorino, 28; Michael Lambert Ritalde, 31; and Mark Pedrosa, 39.
Rueda-Acosta also reported that another student from Cebu, identified as Ronnel Baguio, 20, 2nd year Marine Engineering student at the University of Cebu, died from hazing and whose mother sought the agency's help following the alleged non-cooperation of school and law enforcement authorities in the province.Baguio's mother, Leny from Mariveles, Bataan, told PAO that her only child died on Dec. 19, 2022.
