A 51-year-old woman was killed in the a crash just after 10 a.m. on Oct. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police
Wanda Batzel of Fort Loudon, Franklin County was driving a 2002 GMC Sierra west on Lincoln Way West when police say for an unknown reason her car began to drift into the berm on the north side of the roadway. Police said that the car then struck a mailbox in the 11,000 block of Lincoln Way W in Peters Township, continuing westbound drifting into the yard before striking a tree sitting just north of the roadway.The crash occurred on Oct. 7. State police released information about the crash on Oct. 14.
