A 5-year-old child missing from a town in Virginia for nearly three months was found over eight hours away in Northeast Ohio on Wednesday, according to U.S. Marshals.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliot says the child had been taken by a non-custodial parent in Yorktown, Virginia, nearly an hour southeast of Richmond, on May 1. Marshal Elliot says authorities located the child in the 14400 block of Cedar Road, which is where they found and arrested the 31-year-old suspect. The woman, identified as Ashlee Benneson, of Newport News, faces charges of parental abduction, while the child was turned over to the Department of Family Services and reunited with a custodial parent.
