Where the OG cast of VPR and their continuing drama no longer really made sense in relation to Lisa Vanderpump, Doute and the rest of her cast bring plenty of high-stakes conflict to the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. The Testament of Ann Lee explores the larger-than-life true legend surrounding Ann’s life, from her childhood to her time with the Shakers, through her death and ultimately the disbandment of the entire Shaker community. Ann was incredibly progressive for the time, with the foundations of her preaching closely intertwined with social and gender equality — and these teachings garnered a passionate, devout following. Director Mona Fastvold takes the historic life of a religious figure and makes it into a ravishing musical that is profoundly emotionally affecting. The film enjoys many creative liberties with Ann's life, but this creates an incredibly unique experience based on generating a feeling as opposed to being a Wikipedia page. While The Testament of Ann Lee was notably shut out from this year's Academy Awards, many feel it is one of the best films of 2025, and it undoubtedly features what is easily one of the best performances of Seyfried's career.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo0StesaFNY When wealthy financier Andrew 'Coop' Cooper finds himself divorced and fired from his job after a shocking scandal, he takes to unorthodox methods to retain his lavish lifestyle and keep his family living the life that they'd become accustomed to. Coop begins stealing from his equally rich neighbors, and while he starts with minor pilfering, the value of what he takes begins to gradually increase — but so do the stakes tied to his crimes. Coop's neighbors carry dark secrets of their own, and he becomes burdened with the knowledge of what goes on behind closed doors. Your Friends & Neighbors is essentially Breaking Bad if Walter White had turned to burglary instead of making meth. While the show doesn't carry quite the same screenwriting pedigree and command of themes, it still makes for an exceedingly entertaining yarn with a top-tier performance from Hamm. But one night, Abby manages to sneak out to the franchise location to reunite with her friends Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy and Chica. At the same time, a group of young ghost hunters visit the original location and awaken a vengeful spirit connected to the dark origins of Freddy's. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 has abysmal ratings from critics but overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans, so checking out the movie gets to be a fun little wildcard in seeing whether the movie is actually really bad or actually really good. In our opinion, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is worth checking out, and if you don't like it, well, at least it's under two hours long like the first movie. This series focuses on the younger sister of Lara Jean Song-Covey , Katherine 'Kitty' , and her journey to Seoul to enroll in a Korean high school to be closer to her long-distance boyfriend Dae , and feel a stronger connection to her late mother. But after arriving with a rocky start, Kitty discovers that Dae is already in a relationship with a girl named Yuri . XO, Kitty is a sweet, can't-miss extension of the To All the Boys series and manages to strike out on its own with plenty of humor and heart. The series embraces its cheesy teen rom-com tropes while also indulging in many hallmarks of classic K-dramas, in addition to featuring some strong LGBTQ representation with great queer romance storylines. Occasionally, the side characters end up being more enjoyable and complex than Kitty, but Kitty is often cringeworthy in the best way. XO, Kitty is the perfect escapist show to watch in April.
