San Diego State looks to dominate Bengals again after rushing for 380 yards last year; Idaho St. has coaching, roster turnover after two straight 1-10 seasons
San Diego State coach Brady Hoke pushed back this week when it was suggested the Aztecs are playing an opponent in Idaho State that is either “overmatched” or “grossly overmatched.”
SDSU rushed for 380 yards in last year’s meeting, averaging 8.8 yards on 43 carries against the Bengals. The Idaho State O-line will be challenged to protect the quarterback and open holes for running backs like Raiden Hunter .None of the players who started on Idaho State’s offensive line in last year’s game will be toiling in the trenches for this one.
Hoke was still underwhelmed, saying “we have to play better and be more physical on the line of scrimmage.” SDSU will be aiming to go one better this time, posting its first shutout since a 6-0 win over Weber State to open the 2019 season.4. Davaughn Celestine
