Five people injured after crane collapses into neighboring building in NYC
Five people were injured, including a firefighter, when a crane collapsed into a neighboring building after catching fire in New York City on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The construction equipment and debris fell near 41st and 10th Avenue near Hudson Yards in Manhattan around 7:40 a.m, the FDNY said.A fiery crane collapse struck a nearby NYC building Wednesday morning.FDNY responded at the scene, where nearby buildings were evacuated out of fear of a collapse. “FDNY units are currently operating at a crane collapse and fire at 550 Tenth Avenue in Manhattan,” the agencyThe NYPD urged New Yorkers to avoid the area.This is a developing story.
