Three weeks later than usual, two-wheel riders were eager to hit the 'Ring.
If you thought the onboard video of open-traffic Nürburgring laps behind the wheel looked intimidating, imagine doing it all on two wheels. For those with enough bravery to hit the 12.93-mile track on a motorcycle, open season is finally here, albeit a few weeks late in 2024. Known as the Anlassen, which translates to the start-up, around 45,000 descended upon the Nürburgring for this year's season opening.
After receiving a blessing at the ecumenical church service, tens of thousands of riders rolled through the infamous track in tandem, allowing riders of all skills and ages to enjoy the curves at a reasonable speed. Additionally, the ADAC Driving Safety Center, the Rhineland-Palatinate state police, and the German Red Cross offered safety-focused presentations and riding demonstrations on-site, too.
