Although it will be difficult for anything to replace Schitt's Creek for the cast, Dustin Milligan's 2024 Netflix Christmas movie comes pretty close. The Canadian sitcom, created by Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, revolves around the rich Rose family, who are forced to move to Schitt's Creek once they lose their fortune. The family previously bought the town as a joke, but it completely alters their lives over the course of Schitt's Creek's six seasons.
Throughout Schitt's Creek, Alexis and Ted have an on-and-off relationship. While it was always obvious that they were meant to end up together, the final season of Schitt's Creek ends with Alexis and Ted heading their separate ways . Nevertheless, Ted was a beloved character in the sitcom, and Milligan somewhat carries on Ted's legacy in his holiday film Hot Frosty.
Hot Frosty has been quite a success since its premiere on November 13, 2024. The Netflix Christmas movie shot to the top of the streaming service's charts as many subscribers tuned in to learn what happens when a snowman magically becomes a human and falls in love. Of course, Hot Frosty's all-star cast, which includes Chabert, Milligan, Craig Robinson, and Joe Lo Truglio, has certainly helped its popularity.
Jack's Similarities To Ted Make Hot Frosty Feel Like A Schitt's Creek Season 7 Spinoff Jack & Ted Have A Lot In Common At first glance, Hot Frosty and Schitt's Creek don't seem to have much in common. However, they both take place in small towns with tight-knit communities, and Dustin Milligan's two characters are quite alike. Jack is depicted as innocent, naive, sweet, kind, etc. — essentially, all the qualities that embody Ted in Schitt's Creek.
