It wouldn't be a Christmas film without a bit of magic, and Hot Frosty's fantastical elements all come down to one simple red scarf. The Netflix Christmas movie, directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and written by Russell Hainline, tells the tale of a snowman who comes to life one night and subsequently falls in love with the woman responsible for his humanity. Of course, this impressive feat in Hot Frosty would not have been possible without a bit of magic.
The cast of Hot Frosty includes Lacey Chabert as Kathy Barrett, the woman who brings the snowman to life, and Dustin Milligan as Jack Snowman, the aforementioned man of snow. After Jack's transformation, he gets to know Kathy and integrates himself well into the small town of Hope Springs. The people warmly welcome Jack, and he and Kathy start to fall in love.
✕ Remove Ads Mel tells Kathy that, one Christmas, she put on a red scarf and ventured to the local pub, where she met her future husband. So, when Mel finds a red scarf that reminds her of the one she wore so many years ago, she gives it to Kathy so that she too can find love. Mel believes the scarf came to her for a reason so she could help Kathy. Lacey Chabert's character accepts the gift.
How Kathy's Kiss Magically Turned Jack From A Snowman Into A Real Person Permanently Kathy Wasn't Trying To Save Him With Her Kiss ✕ Remove Ads Sadly, Jack gets arrested towards the end of Hot Frosty on Netflix. He's thrown into a jail cell, where he is left to melt until the town comes together to convince Sheriff Hunter to set Jack free. It's seemingly too late, though.
