PETALING JAYA: A total of 383 people were detained yesterday for flouting SOPs under the recovery movement control order, Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob says.
A total of 2,809 compliance task force teams were deployed involving 11,996 personnel who conducted checks at 3,681 supermarkets, 5,535 restaurants, 1,882 hawker stalls, 2,086 factories, 3,458 banks and 754 government offices. Operations against illegal immigrants continued with police checking 36,001 vehicles at 65 roadblocks yesterday. A total of 14 migrants were arrested for various immigration offences.
Of these, 21,990 tested negative and were told to undergo the mandatory quarantine at their homes. Another 78 tested positive and were sent to hospital for treatment.
