SAN DIEGO – Three military members were transported to the hospital Wednesday morning after a vehicle crash at a gate to Naval Base San Diego.
Later in the morning, Naval Base San Diego Public Information Officer Krishna Jackson provided ABC 10News with update information about the collision. Jackson stated an unmarked vehicle that belongs to the base attempted to bypass the guard shack at the gate at around 4:30 a.m. Per Jackson, when the vehicle tried to bypass the guard shack, a security guard pushed a button that brought up a barrier and the car crashed into it.
