Three boys in England have died after falling through a frozen lake into its icy waters, authorities said Monday. The victims, aged just 8, 11, and 12, were confirmed dead by West Midlands Police after they were pulled from the water in Solihull, central England, and rushed to hospital on Sunday. A fourth boy, aged 6, remained in a critical condition on Monday.
” Witnesses initially reported seeing up to six children falling through the ice while at the site, sparking fears that two remained missing. “A number of children had been playing on the ice on a lake and had fallen through the ice,” West Midlands Fire Service area commander Richard Stanton said. Hours later, the total number of children who fell into the water remained unclear.
